So the swing went up in the apple tree and the hammock next to it. Blake has plans for a tree fort as well. Luke turns towards the hillside and swings and sings to his hearts content. The older kids turn towards the down hill slope and scream as the earth falls out from under them when they swing out! The best of both worlds!

Christopher Robin rides again
Josh hung a swing and an old hammock we have from years ago in the backyard for the kids this week. Even though there is still a lot of work to do inside and outside the house; it's great to see the kids enjoying this place. The former owner sent someone to pick up this giant pile of trash he'd left in the back yard but there is still half of it there. We decided not to wait for that to start enjoying our yard. So we've been raking, pulling weeds and picking up fallen apples. The yard actually is not part of our property. We only own the land the house is on. But this square of a grassy tree covered slope squeezed in between us and the neighbor belongs to the city. We've decided to make use of it.
