The break down begins

For about 5 days here I'm missing photos. All of a sudden, the plates we had been throwing into the air and kept spinning came to their full force! Kids were going to play practices for church, for school, for music lessons, then they were going to shows, my dad's flight had messed up by weather, then he showed up and we began the Christmas holidays with celebrations and shopping.
Peter called to say the guys who were laying floors were booked and we couldn't get them until the Monday or Tuesday before Christmas. That was a real disapointment. We'd asked our friends and teammates if Saturday they would help us move our furniture. But if the floor wasn't in then we couldn't do it. And there wasn't another Saturday before Christmas. It looked like Christmas would be celebrated in our bedrooms. Peter said, "I'll make some calls." Josh said,"I'll pray." On Friday the workers showed up and laid the wood floor!I don't have all the photos I should have because it was just such an overwhelming experience! But here's Dad helping Josh move the kitchen cabinets onto the newly laid wood floor!
Josh in the kitchen and the window for over my kitchen sink that had been installed just days earlier!
In the hall between the kitchen and living room. We've got card board down to keep the floors from being too scratched up as we prepare for the next days move of furniture!

It all looks SO great!! Isn't it great to see the months of work actually turning into something liveable? We know first hand about putting together Ikea cabinets and floors too...the price is right, but the work is much.

Love you guys a ton and we are so excited to see your dream coming a little closer to being done!

So happy for you all that your house is coming together. What a blessing from the Lord to have a place to call your own and to have such wonderful help in making your home a place of ministry. Hope 2010 is terrific for your beautiful family.
